TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 – Tiny Habits will make their official debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, November 14, bringing the elaborate three-part harmonies and extended sound of their celebrated sophomore album, Keepers, to one of Nashville’s most renowned stages. The trio (Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa, and Maya Rae) will perform songs off their new album, which is out now via Mom+Pop Music.
Their Opry debut comes only a few days into their “Keepers Tour,” their 24-city North American headline run, which officially kicks off on November 11 in Dallas. Following their performance at the Opry, Tiny Habits will hit the stage the following night for a headline show at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on November 15, giving the band back-to-back appearances in Music City, before continuing on the tour with stops in Atlanta, Boston, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more!
Keepers, which was released on August 28, labels a boost of the Tiny Habits sound, mixing the intimacy at the center of their songwriting with elements of pop, R&B, and fuller-band arrangements. Throughout the album, Cinya, Judah, and Maya explore love, change, and the relationships we choose to hold onto. The album features Matty Healy on “Anything He Was,” thus continuing the creative relationship with The 1975 frontman, which took an unforgettable turn this summer when Healy had Tiny Habits perform at his wedding!
Keepers landed on the heels of a notable summer for the trio, which contained their third appearance at Newport Folk Festival. LADYGUNN labeled their Newport set “career-defining,” as the trio has had a non-stop run that has taken them from viral harmony videos to many of the country’s most legendary stages.
The album has gathered early acclaim. On the release day, Consequence sat down with the trio for a comprehensive track-by-track analysis of Keepers (HERE). Rolling Stone also outlined the group, calling their record “a sumptuous departure from their debut” (HERE), while NPR featured Keepers on its “New Music Friday” playlist (HERE)!
Their single “Love Ruins Everything” has gained support from Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist, MTV’S Fresh Out playlist, and Joe Jonas’ personal playlist!
The traction from Keepers has steadily grown, with a recent interview for Apple Music with Zane Lowe, being named Global Artist to Watch by Deezer, and being invited by Jo Whiley to record a BBC Radio 2 Sofa Session (HERE)! The trio’s music has also been featured in a recent J.Crew campaign featuring Emma Chamberlain, accentuating their growing presence throughout music and culture.
Before their debut at the Opry and their “Keepers Tour,” Tiny Habits will perform on September 27 at All Things Go Festival in Columbia, Maryland!
