This Saturday, September 26, marked one year since Olivia Dean released her sophomore album The Art of Loving. The 12-track album explores the different sides of love and has helped take Dean’s career to a whole new level.

Since its release, The Art of Loving has reached No. 1 in several countries and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. In the U.K., it had the biggest opening week for a British female artist and became the country’s biggest album of 2026. Its lead single, “Man I Need,” also reached No. 1, making Dean the first British woman to simultaneously have the U.K.’s No. 1 album and single.

Dean also took the album on a massive international tour this year, selling out six nights at London’s O2 and four shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The tour traveled across Europe, North America, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

To celebrate the album’s first anniversary, Dean has released special-edition vinyl versions of The Art of Loving, including a limited silver 180g half-speed master and a pink retail-exclusive LP.

One year later, The Art of Loving has become a major part of Dean’s career, and it’s clear that the album has connected with fans around the world.
