Polyphia release new single “With Eyes To See” ahead of “Be Not Afraid”

Polyphia have released “With Eyes To See,” the third single from “Be Not Afraid”, their upcoming fifth full-length album out October 23 via Rise Records.

Polyphia have released “With Eyes To See,” the third single from their upcoming fifth full-length album BE NOT AFRAID, out October 23 via Rise Records.

The new track continues the band’s latest chapter with a hypnotic pull, pairing Polyphia’s signature guitar-forward precision with a darker visual world. Its accompanying music video layers surreal, mesmerizing imagery with flashes of destruction and references to redacted Epstein files, grounding the dreamlike presentation in something more unsettling.

“With Eyes To See” follows “Can You Feel It,” Polyphia’s first single in more than four years, and “Power In The Blood,” whose music video was filmed at the São Francisco da Penitência Church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Together, the singles point toward a record built around contrast, spectacle, and tension.

Throughout 2024 and 2025, Polyphia worked on BE NOT AFRAID in Miami, Los Angeles, and Dallas alongside co-producer RJ Pasin and guitarist Spiro Dussias. Guitarist Tim Henson approached composition differently this time, first singing lines aloud before translating them onto guitar. That process allowed the band to build ideas together in real time and pushed the sessions into more collaborative territory.

The album threads together otherworldly metal, future-facing prog, pulsating house, carefully placed samples, inventive beat work, and the guitar language that has made Henson and Scott LePage two of modern instrumental music’s most recognizable players. This time, the band frames that push and pull through extremes of good and evil.

“The album takes you through the extremes of two different worlds / moods, one being very uplifting and triumphant, the other being spine chilling and terrifying,” Henson said. “There are moments on the record that legitimately scare me when I listen to them.”

Polyphia have spent more than a decade turning instrumental rock into something broader, flashier, and harder to pin down. Since emerging in 2010, the Texas-bred lineup of Henson, LePage, bassist Clay Gober, and drummer Clay Aeschliman has moved across Muse, Renaissance, New Levels New Devils, and Remember That You Will Die, bringing technical guitar music into spaces where prog, metal, trap, pop, and electronic production can collide without feeling like separate parts.

Remember That You Will Die debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart and reached the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, further pushing the band beyond the usual boundaries of instrumental rock. The album also helped solidify Polyphia as a group comfortable collaborating across genres, with past work featuring artists including Sophia Black, $NOT, Steve Vai, and Chino Moreno.

With BE NOT AFRAID, Polyphia appear to be leaning even further into that range. The new material does not just extend the band’s technical vocabulary. It gives the songs a more cinematic frame, one where beauty, dread, and motion all seem to be fighting for space inside the same track.

Polyphia will tour the U.K. and Europe this fall with Perturbator and RJ Pasin before launching the North American leg of their world tour in early 2027. The North American run features support from Ladrones and RJ Pasin, with Intervals joining select dates.

BE NOT AFRAID is out October 23 via Rise Records.
