Nashville-based singer-songwriter Bo Staloch is back with new single “Hers,” blending folk with explosive indie rock. Out now via Capitol Records, the track captures the complicated shift from friendship to romance, moving from warm, gentle melodies into a wave of raw emotion. “Hers” arrives ahead of Staloch’s upcoming “Too Big, Too Big” EP, set for release November 6.
The new single comes as Staloch prepares to perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival, returning for a second set on Friday, October 9. He’ll then head out on his “Too Big, Too Big” North American headline tour, kicking off February 3 in Nashville. The tour will take him to cities including Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles before wrapping up March 27 in Houston.

Produced by Brad Cook, known for his work with Bon Iver and Waxahatchee, “Hers” builds from a soft, exploratory first half into a powerful wall of sound as the excitement of new love gives way to confusion and heartbreak. The track reflects the coming-of-age themes at the center of Staloch’s forthcoming EP, exploring young love, evolving friendships, and the uncertainty that comes with entering a new chapter of life.
Too Big, Too Big features eight tracks blending earthy alt-folk, baroque pop, and dynamic indie rock, all anchored by Staloch’s distinctive vocals. Recorded at Cook’s Puff City home studio in Durham, North Carolina, the project features an accomplished group of musicians, including Phil Cook of Megafaun, Colin Croom of Twin Peaks, Nathan Stocker of Hippo Campus, and Matt McCaughan of Bon Iver.
“Hers” follows a run of recent singles, including “I Won’t Be There Waiting For You,” “Masks,” and “From a Different Age.” The latter earned praise from Rolling Stone after Staloch performed it at the publication’s Stateside Fourth of July festival in New York. The rising artist has also spent the past year sharing acoustic recordings and covers on TikTok, connecting with listeners through stripped-back performances.
Following a breakout 2025 that included touring with John Vincent III, Houndmouth, and Ashe, opening for Zach Bryan at London’s Hyde Park, and making his Lollapalooza debut, Staloch continues to build momentum as one of indie folk’s emerging voices.
