The SMX League has revealed the full 2027 Monster Energy SMX World Championship regular season schedule, presented by iHeartRadio.
The 28-round regular season will once again combine the 17-race Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship with the 11-race Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. Ticket presale registration for all 28 rounds opens Tuesday, October 6 at 10 a.m. ET, with preferred access available through SupercrossLIVE.com and ProMotocross.com.
The 2027 Supercross season will visit 16 cities across 13 states from early January through mid-May. The schedule includes longtime West Coast staples in California, Arizona, and Washington, along with Midwest and East Coast stops in Texas, Florida, Indiana, and more. The season will also introduce two new destinations, with the sport making its first visits to the Alamodome in San Antonio and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
The championship will also return to several major venues, including Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, and Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.
The 56th season of the Pro Motocross Championship will keep its traditional slate of outdoor Nationals, traveling to 10 states across 11 rounds and 22 motos. The outdoor campaign begins on Memorial Day weekend and concludes during the final weekend of August, with familiar traditions including Father’s Day weekend at the High Point National in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, and Independence Day weekend at the RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan.
Following the regular season, the Monster Energy SMX World Championship Playoffs and Final will return for three postseason rounds after Labor Day weekend. Cities and venues for the postseason will be announced in January.
The 2027 season arrives after an offseason expected to bring one of the biggest periods of rider movement and change in recent memory. The regular season will begin at Angel Stadium in Southern California with the Anaheim Opener, where the premier 450SMX Class will be led by reigning Supercross Champion Ken Roczen.
Roczen will be joined by a loaded group of champions and contenders, including Jason Anderson, Jett Lawrence, Chase Sexton, Cooper Webb, Hunter Lawrence, Justin Barcia, Aaron Plessinger, Malcolm Stewart, and rising star Haiden Deegan, who will begin his rookie campaign in the premier class.
The outdoor season will also begin in Southern California at Fox Raceway at Pala. Defending Pro Motocross Champion Hunter Lawrence will lead the field into the summer campaign, with Jett Lawrence, Sexton, Deegan, and newly crowned SMX World Champion Jorge Prado among the major names expected to shape the title fight.
The 250SMX field will again be split into Eastern and Western Divisional Championships for Supercross, with defending Eastern Divisional Champion Cole Davies among the leading names. The class is also expected to feature Max Anstie, Julien Beaumer, Pierce Brown, Seth Hammaker, Chance Hymas, Cameron McAdoo, Jo Shimoda, Nate Thrasher, and newly crowned SMX World Champion Levi Kitchen.
Davies will also enter the Pro Motocross campaign as the rider to beat, where he is expected to defend his crown against former championship runners-up Kitchen and Shimoda, as well as former winners Beaumer, Hammaker, and Hymas.
The 2027 season will also bring the highly anticipated U.S. debut of Belgian twins Lucas and Sacha Coenen. Both have emerged as rising stars in MXGP, and after guest appearances in Pro Motocross this past summer, they enter the new season as immediate names to watch. Lucas Coenen will compete in the 450SMX Class, while Sacha Coenen will race in 250SMX.
FanFest is currently planned for all Supercross rounds except Detroit. The fan-focused experience offers access to riders, bikes, team rigs, practice, qualifying, and the paddock environment that has become a major part of the Supercross weekend.
The 2027 Monster Energy SMX World Championship will conclude with three postseason rounds following Labor Day weekend, setting up another full-year title chase across stadium racing, outdoor motocross, and the season-ending SMX Playoffs.
