On October 14, The Red Clay Strays brought their “Grateful Tour” to Orlando’s Kia Center, delivering a night of Southern rock, country, and gospel influences alongside special guests Haley Reinhart and The Revivalists.

The night started with Haley Reinhart, whose soulful vocals made for a strong opening to the evening. Known for her ability to move between blues, jazz, rock, and pop, Reinhart brought plenty of personality to her set, including a powerful cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.” Her voice has a way of making familiar songs feel entirely her own, setting the tone for the night.

The Revivalists took the stage next, bringing a different kind of energy to the Kia Center. The New Orleans band blended alternative rock, soul, and a little funk throughout their set, moving between upbeat crowd favorites and songs that gave their musicianship room to shine. “Wish I Knew You” was a fitting highlight, alongside “All My Friends” and “Soulfight.” Their set kept the energy moving as the crowd waited for the night’s headliners.

Before The Red Clay Strays even took the stage, the Kia Center was transformed into a light show of its own. Fans’ phone flashlights were synced through an app, lighting up the arena in a sea of twinkling lights that moved with the opening notes. As the lights shifted throughout the arena, the crowd became part of the show itself, creating a beautiful moment that set the tone for the performance to come.

By the time the band took the stage, the focus shifted to their unmistakable blend of Southern rock and gospel-inspired soul. Based out of Mobile, Alabama, the group has built a reputation for a live sound that feels bigger than its recordings, with powerful vocals at the center of it all. Backed by layered guitars, keys, and a trio of vocalists, the band brought a full, rich sound to the arena.

Opening with “Demons in Your Choir,” the band wasted little time getting into the heart of its latest album, Grateful. Released in June, the record finds The Red Clay Strays leaning into the sounds that have helped define their rise, pairing rough-edged rock with moments of vulnerability and harmonies.

The band also brought Haley Reinhart back to the stage for a performance of John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy,” adding another layer to an already exciting night. The collaboration was a natural fit for a lineup that moved between the different genres of rock, soul, and country.

The night wrapped with an encore that included “God Does,” “Wanna Be Loved,” and “No One Else Like Me,” bringing the evening back to the mix of grit, heart, and soul that defined the performance.
