BADSQUATCH takes aim at toxic relationships with “All My Friends Are Parasites”

BADSQUATCH confronts one sided relationships, emotional exhaustion, and the importance of boundaries on his latest single, “All My Friends Are Parasites,” featuring guitarist Cinthya Blackcat.

BADSQUATCH has released his latest single and accompanying music video, “All My Friends Are Parasites,” a thrash-inspired track confronting toxic relationships, emotional exhaustion, and the uncomfortable process of learning when to walk away.

Featuring Cinthya Blackcat on lead guitar, the new single channels old-school thrash metal with aggressive riffs and an unapologetically confrontational attitude. Beneath that aggression is a subject many listeners will recognize: the realization that some relationships demand far more than they give in return.

At the center of “All My Friends Are Parasites” is the difficulty of establishing boundaries with people who have become accustomed to receiving unconditional support. BADSQUATCH explores the frustration of giving too much of yourself to others, particularly when that effort is rarely reciprocated.

The song also makes room for an important moment of self-reflection. After directing his frustration outward, BADSQUATCH shifts the perspective to acknowledge that anyone can become the person draining someone else’s energy. It’s a fitting complication for a song about personal growth, recognizing that accountability is just as important as protecting your own well-being.

“All My Friends Are Parasites” serves as the final single ahead of BADSQUATCH’s forthcoming debut album, a project centered on mental health and his personal journey toward understanding what it means to be human. The record promises to explore the difficult, contradictory experiences that come with learning about yourself and the people around you.

With its combination of thrash-inspired instrumentation and introspective themes, the latest release offers another look at the personal territory BADSQUATCH is exploring ahead of the full album.

He is also performing throughout Nebraska and the surrounding region, including an upcoming November 5 appearance at 1867 in Lincoln alongside With A Vengeance.
