Diplo teams up with A$AP Ferg for new single “Let Me Cook”

Diplo has joined forces with A$AP Ferg for “Let Me Cook,” a high-energy collaboration introducing a forthcoming music project inspired by his growing Run Club series.

Diplo has teamed up with A$AP Ferg for “Let Me Cook,” a new collaboration released October 19 through Mad Decent. The single introduces a forthcoming music project inspired by Diplo’s Run Club, bringing his interests in electronic music, hip-hop, and fitness together.

The track was developed as part of a larger collection of high-energy music intended to accompany running and other athletic activities. Diplo has spent recent months recording with longtime friends and collaborators, drawing inspiration from the thousands of participants who have joined his Run Club events across the country.

Fans attending those events have already had opportunities to hear “Let Me Cook” live, including at the sold-out San Francisco Run Club on October 18, which attracted more than 12,000 runners. The event also featured surprise appearances from Bay Area rapper Too $hort and singer Kah-Lo, who joined Diplo for an unreleased collaboration.

Launched three years ago, Diplo’s Run Club combines organized 5K races with live electronic music performances, turning traditional running events into daytime music festivals. The series sold more than 100,000 tickets during its first two years and has grown into a community of more than 300,000 fans.

Now in its third season, Run Club has expanded into additional cities, including Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and San Diego, along with its first international event in Mexico City. The series has previously welcomed guest DJs Mark Ronson, A-Trak, Dillon Francis, and TOKiMONSTA, as well as appearances from Camila Cabello, Macklemore, and Olympic runner Alexi Pappas.

Ferg has also become a familiar presence at Run Club events. Earlier in October, Diplo joined him and Wiz Khalifa for an impromptu Ferg Strong 5K through Harlem, continuing their shared interest in connecting music and fitness.

The new single arrives during another busy year for Diplo, who returned to Coachella with Major Lazer in April and served as an executive producer on BTS’ comeback album ARIRANG, contributing production to five tracks.

Further details about the upcoming Run Club companion project have yet to be announced, but “Let Me Cook” offers the first official release from the collaboration-driven collection.
