Queens of the Stone Age are returning to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 12, 2027, bringing along alternative rock legends Pixies and Denver’s own Wheelchair Sports Camp for one of the more compelling lineups announced for next year’s concert season.
The performance is part of the band’s newly announced “Perfecth World Tour,” supporting their ninth studio album, Perfecth, arriving October 30 through Matador Records. The 16-date U.S. run begins May 1 in San Diego and includes stops at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, and Boston’s TD Garden.
Produced by frontman Josh Homme and bassist Michael Shuman, Perfecth explores different forms of love, loss, and personal growth across nine tracks. The record draws inspiration from kintsugi, the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold, embracing the idea that damage and recovery can become part of something beautiful.
The album has already been previewed through “Insignificant Other”, “Easy Street” featuring Nikki Lane, and “Where the Goth Girls At?”, which the band recently performed live for the first time on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
For the Red Rocks stop, the supporting lineup is particularly exciting. Pixies remain one of alternative rock’s most influential bands, while Wheelchair Sports Camp brings a distinctly Colorado connection to the evening. Fronted by rapper Kalyn Rose Heffernan, the Denver experimental hip-hop group has developed a reputation for challenging musical conventions and delivering fiercely individual performances. Sharing the Red Rocks stage with Queens of the Stone Age and Pixies marks a significant hometown appearance for the group.
The tour announcement also coincides with the release of Perfecth and the band’s upcoming HalloQueen celebrations on October 31. Participating record stores worldwide will host listening events, offer exclusive merchandise, and carry a limited-edition picture disc of the new album.
