Reba McEntire announces One Night In Atoka, an intimate pop-up show

Reba McEntire is bringing things back to where it started, and she’s doing it in a way that feels intentionally small.

On April 9, McEntire will host One Night In Atoka,” a one-night-only performance inside Reba’s Place in Atoka, Oklahoma. The venue, a restored historic Masonic Temple turned restaurant and live music space, sets the tone for what’s expected to be a stripped-down, intimate set far removed from the scale she’s known for.

Instead of a traditional ticket sale, access to the show will be handled through a sweepstakes system. Fans can enter online for a chance to attend, with winners receiving two tickets to the performance. A separate in-person drawing will take place on the day of the event at Reba’s Place, adding another layer of unpredictability to who actually ends up in the room.

For those who don’t make it inside, the City of Atoka is hosting a free public simulcast just outside the venue. The performance will be streamed on a large outdoor screen in the park behind the restaurant, turning the night into something that extends beyond the building itself.

Moments like this don’t really happen at this level anymore. An artist with a career as long and decorated as McEntire’s doesn’t need to do a show like this, which is exactly why it works. It strips everything back to the music, the room, and the people who manage to be there when it happens.
