Welsh folk-rock band Rusty Shackle are back with a defiant new single, “Your Arrows,” out now via Get Folked Records. A cinematic anthem about choosing your own path, the track channels American Western imagery into a modern inner battle between self-doubt and belief, driven by dynamic guitar and fiddle interplay, soaring lead vocals, and gang vocals from all six members, bringing a raw, anthemic edge.
“Your Arrows” marks the first taste of the band’s forthcoming album Mayfield, which will be released and showcased at Caldicot Castle on August 29 with special guests Taff Rapids, Tom Jenkins, and Ernie Emmanuel. Since forming in 2010, Rusty Shackle have built a loyal following through relentless touring and a reputation for exhilarating live shows, earning Wales’ Folk Favourites at the 2023 Wales Folk Awards. Their 2022 release Under a Bloodshot Moon reached No. 2 on the U.K. Folk Albums Chart.
The band has a packed festival run throughout the summer, including appearances at Folk In A Field (Norfolk), Priddy Folk Festival, Trowbridge Festival, and more, ahead of the album launch show at Caldicot Castle on August 29.
