Some bands get older and start feeling nostalgic. But Modest Mouse somehow avoids that. Even after all these years, their music still feels the same! And the release of their new album, An Eraser and a Maze, makes us feel excited yet comfortable knowing they haven’t strayed from being their interesting selves. 

Isaac Brock remains one of the most unique frontmen in alternative rock. Whether it was a fan favorite or a new song from the recent record, the performance carried the same sense of emotion that made people fall in love with these songs in the first place. 

You could look around the room and see people having completely different experiences. Some were singing every word, others stood quietly taking it all in, and not to age myself, but I got brought back to hearing them on my favorite teen drama, “One Tree Hill.” That’s always been the magic of Modest Mouse; their music means something different to everyone.
