Well, here we are, it’s officially one week until the best summer of your life begins! Are you coming? My next three weekends are booked to be at Summerfest, and it’s going to be an amazing time! Don’t forget to download the official app so you can keep track of who you want to see. Create a customized setlist ready to be viewed at any time and let your phone remind you when they’re about to start. 

Everything is available, and you can even view the special promotional days of admission. Things have shifted, and they are in a different order than in prior years. I normally have seen “College Pride Day” during the second weekend, but this year, it’s how they’re kicking off day one. Anyone wearing a t-shirt to selected local universities in the area will receive free admission between certain hours. Head on down to the main gate and check in to receive your ticket – It’s going to be a fantastic day!

Since my last written coverage, Summerfest blessed us with even more local artists, including Barely Civil and Known Moons. These two groups work very closely together, so close that they wrote a joint split LP together called Barely Known. Barely Civil kicks off the Uline Stage on day one right after doors, and I’m sure we’ll see some merging of the two at both sets. Definitely going to bring a good time, so check them out!

While the official start day is June 18, don’t forget to grab tickets for Garth Brooks, who is playing two sets on June 16 and 17. What better way to enjoy Summerfest than to attend two extra days?! I’m sure his tickets are selling quickly, so you’d better act fast if you want to see him on either of those dates. Summerfest is gearing up for another killer nine days, get ready!!!
