20 years of To Write Love On Her Arms

To Write Love On Her Arms

20 years after a single act of compassion sparked a movement, To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is celebrating its milestone anniversary with the release of the new documentary, “To Write Love.

The film highlights the artists, advocates, and supporters who have helped amplify TWLOHA’s mission of bringing hope and mental health resources to those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Featuring interviews with supporters including Paramore, Miley Cyrus, Anberlin, Switchfoot, and more, the documentary tells the story of how honest conversations and vulnerability grew into a global movement that has impacted millions.

“We’re incredibly grateful to celebrate 20 years and share the ongoing story of this movement,” said Executive Director Lindsay Kolsch. “This film shows what can happen when people choose to share their stories and remind others that asking for help is a sign of strength.”

In addition to the documentary release, TWLOHA will host watch parties and community screenings across the country this fall, with the goal of funding 20,000 hours of mental health care and therapy through peer support initiatives.

Since launching in 2006, TWLOHA has invested more than $4.7 million into treatment and recovery, while connecting thousands of people each month with mental health resources and support.

The documentary is now available to watch on YouTube. For more information about hosting a screening or supporting the organization’s mission, visit TWLOHA.com.
