King Falcon is a New York City-based alternative rock band that melds vintage guitar grit with a current 21st-century alt-rock attitude. Formed in 2020, the band is tastefully channeling the raw passion of old rock classics while giving a fresh, current edge. Frontman Michael Rubin (vocals, lead guitar), bassist Joe Conserva, and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty build hook-packed songs for the stage and streaming age. Their music is perfectly balanced between The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Foo Fighters – real, guitar-driven, and full of energy.
The self-titled debut album King Falcon (2023) broke out with millions of streams on Spotify, fueled by fan favorites “Ready Set Go,” “Cadillac,” and “Everybody’s Down.” By 2025, King Falcon’s explosive single “Plastic Crown” erupted into the mainstream, enjoying numerous weeks at No. 1 on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Rock Playlist and debuting at No. 45 on MediaBase Radio. King Falcon was also selected as “Best New Artist” by MXDWN, and Guitar World labeled them “one of NYC’s most exciting indie-rock bands.”
Louder’s Classic Rock Magazine wrote, “Fans of The Strokes or the much-missed Ambulance Ltd will feel immediately at home… there’s a frisky, power-pop side to this band that marks them out as more than just another bunch of Williamsburg wannabes.”

The group has since shared stages with The Struts, Des Rocs, Sublime with Rome, and more, earning a reputation for their electric live shows and undeniable New York style.
King Falcon has dropped a new batch of singles in 2026, with “Holding Out,” “Wait,” “Nothing Feels Amazing,” and now “Hourglass,” in anticipation of an EP release coming September 18, dubbed “Bloom.” With every live event and album release, the band continues to perfect their trademark alt-rock sound while delivering the same uncompromising passion that distinguishes them.
