Metal powerhouse Butcher Babies are entering a new chapter with the announcement of their upcoming album, NIGHTBLOOM, arriving October 2 via Judge & Jury Records. Along with the announcement, the band has released the official video for their latest single, “Blame It on the Wind.”

But NIGHTBLOOM is more than just another heavy record. For the band, it’s deeply personal.

The album was born out of a year of therapy, reflection, and confronting memories that had been buried for years. The songs explore heartbreak, betrayal, loss, trauma, relationships, religion, abandonment, and the difficult moments that can stay with us long after they happen.

Rather than focusing on the pain itself, NIGHTBLOOM is about what comes after it… surviving, healing, and finding something beautiful in the darkest parts of life.

The album was produced by producer Howard Benson, whose credits include My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Daughtry and Halestorm. Joe Rickard, Neil Sanderson and Henry Flury also served as co-producers, with Cameron Pierce Mizell and Evan McKeever contributing additional production on “Songbird.”

“Blame It on the Wind” gives fans another taste of what’s coming, combining the aggression Butcher Babies are known for with melodies and a more focused, modern sound. The single is already making an impact at rock radio, including strong support from SiriusXM Octane.

According to Henry Flury, NIGHTBLOOM was created with purpose, with every lyric, layer, and detail serving a role in telling the album’s story.

And that story ultimately isn’t about suffering — it’s about survival.

Sometimes the most beautiful things don’t grow in the sunshine. Sometimes they bloom in the dark. 

Butcher Babies will continue their 2026 world tour with a United States run alongside Chad Gray, beginning later this summer, as well as an appearance at Louder Than Life in Kentucky.
