Teen metal heatseekers Chained Saint announce 5-song EP “Rise to Fall” + share “Snakeskin”

Florida teen metal sensation CHAINED SAINT, featuring Ethan Kahn (guitar), Sebastian De Avila (bass), Cameron Cottrell (drums) and Sean Sterling (vocals, has recently returned from their first-ever European tour, slaying venues across the continent. They spent July and August supporting Slaughter to Prevail after the two bands bonded during last year’s Louder Than Life, when Chained Saint’s set was canceled due to inclement weather and Slaughter to Prevail invited Sterling onstage to join them onstage for one of their songs.

Today the band reveals “RISE TO FALL,” a new EP self-produced with Rob Roy at Power Station Studios. Their five-song EP is an additional testament to their punk and thrash influences. Kahn also did the hand-drawn artwork for the EP.

The EP will be released October 9 on all DSPs.

Chained Saint also has a lyric video out for their new tune “SNAKESKIN.” Watch and listen here. “‘Snakeskin’ feels like the beginning of the next chapter for Chained Saint,” the band says. “We’ve grown a lot since Blindside, as musicians, as songwriters, and especially from being out on the road and playing these songs in front of people. One thing we keep getting asked after shows is how we describe our sound, and we still don’t really have a perfect answer. It’s just us. There’s thrash, hardcore, and groove all living in the same place, and that combination has become a much bigger part of who we are as a band.”

The band continues, “With this new material, we leaned into that even more: the speed, riffs, and aggression of thrash, the weight and raw energy of hardcore, and the kind of groove that makes the songs hit differently live. We started pushing further into that fusion naturally, without trying to force it into one specific lane. The new EP is heavier, more aggressive, and more focused, while still keeping the classic metal foundation that’s always been part of who we are. ‘Snakeskin’ is the first real look at that evolution and where Chained Saint is headed next, and we couldn’t be more excited for people to hear what’s coming.”

Chained Saint will play Louder Than Life in Louisville on Sept. 17. When they hit the stage, they’ll be praying and wishing and hoping and haggling with the devil for a brilliant sunny sky.
Chained Saint was praised by the New York Times, Revolver, Guitar World, Rock Feed, Loudwire, Metal Injection, Miami New Times, and even Judas Priest icon Rob Halford, who all lauded the band for their talents. Liquid Metal on SiriusXM put the band on their playlist, and their debut single “Animosity” was the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer, and “1000 Tons” was included in UFC broadcasts in the summer of 2025. Earlier this year, they also worked with Affliction for a mini-collection of merch, and have performed at major festivals including Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville, and Sick New World. Chained Saint’s debut album, Blindside, out via independent label Patriark Records, blends the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school ’80s thrash metal with a touch of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of their day. Produced by Alice in Chains’ William DuVall, Blindside harnesses that wrath into a powerfully succinct eight-song LP. The album was recorded and mixed to analog tape; there were no computers involved in the recording sessions. No AI’s. No studio gimmicks. None. Only actual riffs from real players.
