Kesha unveils innovative platform for music creators

World-renowned popstar Kesha recently unveiled the newest chapter of her long-standing mission to create a music industry where the artists truly come first: a community platform called SMASH.

The site is described as an “all-in-one” platform where creators can make music, collaborate with other artists and industry professionals, and find gigs, all while retaining the rights to their work. SMASH includes additional features ranging from community networking and a remote collaborative studio to a marketplace and access to contracting opportunities.

The hope is that SMASH will become a new safe-haven for songwriters, producers, engineers, artists, instrumentalists, and singers to find a supportive community that will help to foster and boost their creative abilities, confidence, and engagement in the music community and industry, all without worrying about potentially predatory insiders or gatekeeping practices.

The platform’s creation is a collaborative effort between Kesha Sebert (SMASH CEO), Alan Cannistraro (CTO), and Logan Sebert (COO), along with a team of music industry veterans and experienced tech professionals.

The announcement of the platform was accompanied by an exclusive contest set up by Kesha, pairing the celebration of SMASH with her new single, “BOY CRAZY.”

The contest is open to anyone who may be interested in participating, and challenges contributors to create their own personal spin on the energetic, hyperpop party anthem and submit their remix to be judged by Kesha herself.

To enter, participants simply sign up for SMASH’s official email list at www.smashmusic.io to receive stems of “BOY CRAZY” to use for their entry. Once the stems are sent, creators have a week to remix the single and submit their work. The best remix will be selected personally by Kesha and released on her record label, Kesha Records, later this summer.

“BOY CRAZY” comes in advance of Kesha’s highly anticipated album, (PERIOD), which is set to release Friday, July 4.

To commemorate (PERIOD), Kesha will be taking off on the biggest live tour of her already extremely-successful career, the “Tits Out Tour.” Presented and produced by Feeld and Live Nation, respectively, the North American headlining tour begins July 1 at Utah’s Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater before continuing to cross the continent, stopping in arenas and amphitheaters along the way. The tour will see Kesha headlining at world-famous venues like Los Angeles, California’s Kia Forum on July 5 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 23, before ending in Tampa, Florida on August 10.
